They won a national talent contest to perform a supporting slot with UK pop act The Saturdays, at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. Emma regularly teaches alongside Sinead & brings her skills of Music & Drama, for which she holds a degree from UCD.

Aphria studied and trained at Sallynoggin Dance College and has performed on many large productions, competing across the globe. She taught at NPAS for one year before making the move. We welcome Aphria as a new addition to the Star Academy team – bringing with her plenty of energy, experience and new street dance styles.

What Star Academy Greystones offers?

At its very core – Star Academy is a confidence builder. We know within each little child is a bundle of energy just bursting to be released – and whether that be in song, dance, musical theatre, or any other type of performance – we want to encourage, inspire, inform and build on their innate skills to be able to shine. And regardless if they continue it on later on in life, it doesn’t matter because that confidence we’ve helped to instill be of use throughout their journey in life! It also instills some fundamental basic Social Skills – learning to work in groups, socialise, come out of their shells and express themselves.

Performance & Arts

Art doesn’t give rise to anything in us that isn’t already there

Our Musical Theatre classes cover almost all of the popular Musicals including those featured on Broadway & the West End, throughout the weekly classes.

Musical Theatre provides a basic understanding and introductory training combining Dance, Drama, and Singing – covering pieces from the latest West-End and Broadway Musicals.

For those students with a yearning and a love for all things Musical – this ticks all the boxes!

Some of our past pupils have gone on to pursue careers professionally and some are in it purely as a hobby – for love and enjoyment.
